New Palestine, Indiana is about a half hour east of Indianapolis on I-70 E and US-52 E in Hancock County.  The town was founded in 1871 and is named after the local railroad and express station.  The first home built in the area, by Jonathon Evans, still stands on Main Street.  This small town is part of the humid subtropical climate zone and it has just over 2,000 residents that call it home today. 

While in New Palestine, you may want to stop at the Links Golf Club.  The club has an 18-hole course, driving range, practice facilities, pro shop, café and pavilion.  The club offers a golfer’s of all abilities an opportunity to work on their game while in New Palestine.  Another fun stop in the area is Southeastway Park.  The 188 acre park offers a number of educational and recreational opportunities for the entire family.  From hayrides and bon fires to school tours and conservation classes this park has it all.  With warm summers and mild winters New Palestine is a great destination.

The weather in New Palestine varies significantly throughout the year.   Temperatures average in the 80’s during the summer months and golfers enjoy long days at the club.   The residents in New Palestine look forward to the cool comfort of air conditioned homes after these sunny days outside on the green.  During the winter, temperatures drop below freezing for 100+ days and the reliability of a well maintained furnace is a priority here in Indiana.
